1. Deadlift: Similar to a regular deadlift except the movement will get harder as the athlete approaches full extension of the back. A combination of Flexbands® and free weights would load the muscles optimally applying more pressure where the body can handle it. Either loop a band through a dumbbell, rack safety pins or use the JS Bases, this movement is safer and more effective than pure free weight deadlift. Bands used: Mini, Monster Mini, Light, Average.

3. Olympic lifts: Usually used to de-load the weight, the Flexbands® are anchored from the top of the rack and help in accelerating the bar off the floor or off the hang position. As the barbell gathers speed and moves upwards, there will be slack and the bands will not help at all. (modifying the force velocity curve of the particular lift) It is important to anchor the bands so that the vector is positioned right above the barbell. Bands used: Mini, Monster Mini, Light.
