Flexbands® - Dynamic Stretching Routine for all sports.
Invented by Coach Dick Hartzell, this program has been utilized in high school, college and professional levels to increase flexibility and reduce injuries. While designed for athletes, these activities are effective at all ages and levels of physical ability. Anyone who wants to stay flexible and reduce aches and pains as they age can benefit from this program.
In a study performed by R.T. Nelson and W.D Bandy, hamstring range of motion gains achieved by using the bands were equal to the gains achieved by statically stretching the hamstrings. The combination of the gains in range of motion along with the added benefits of dynamic stretching point towards the superiority of this routine over many other flexibility routines. Nelson, R.T., and W.D. Bandy. The effect of eccentric training for increasing hamstring flexibility of high school males. Journal of Athletic Training. 39: 354-358, 2004.
